We started the day with an upbeat note, excited to get started, and to sweeten the deal our hotel had packed us a brown bag lunch!
Now, I’m pretty new to Texas. They say dry heat is different–you don’t sweat… Ha! It is hot!
After registration we all did a bit of shopping.
Then we needed to rest. We sat in the amazing atrium. So beautiful! This was a great chance for us to sit down and determine our schedule for the week.
We had a chance to people watch. It was pretty cool to see Gary and Mary Young, the founders of Young LivingE Essential Oils. I have not had a chance to meet them but I expect I will someday in the future.
Someone asked why my phone is not running out of battery. I was great little battery charger in my purse that charged it up wherever I go.
Somewhere along the way, God sent me Rene. I didn’t know how much I needed a new friend. So glad to spend this time with her!
After a bit my wonderful sponsor texted she arrived. We all met up to hang out.
Right now, I’m feeling so grateful she stuck by me…teaching me, encouraging me, even nagging me from time to time. Without her regular, consistent caring I would not be here.
This brings to mind all the other people that the Lord puts in our lives. Went to they need from us? Encouragement, support, nagging, unconditional love, I pray that I am able to support all the people in my group and on my team.

Scotty McCreery won the American Idol concert a few years ago. It happened I watched of that year. It was fun to see him in person.
I’m afraid some of my team was in jail. Don’t worry we broke them out!
I have to say… Clare Heisserer is one spunky gal! This woman roughed it out to the end of the concert and then some. She has waited for years for me to come to convention. She wasn’t going to miss a minute of it! I am so glad to have her around!
